THE BOOK THIEF
The Book Thief is a wonderful book about a young girl living in Nazi Germany. I have not finished yet but I have loved it so far. I really like each character, including the narrarator who is Death.

Recently read books
The Double Bind by Chris Bohjilian -
(SPOILER ALERT) I was really intrigued by this book for a number of reasons. I love the idea of taking fictional characters and places from one work of fiction and incorporating them into a new work. I figured it out pretty early on that the protagonist was psychotic but then after reading the book I have remained intrigued just trying to figure out what was real and what was delusions. I found that the author has a message board on his website and he explains a lot. This was a good book for our book club discussion.
The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshylin Jackson
This was a great book too. Good character development, interesting supernatural/psychological elements to it, easy reading. I missed my book club meeting and didn't get to ask them some of the questions I had so I wrote the author and asked her about it. She wrote back immediately!!! That was so neat.
Serving Crazy with Curry
Another great book with wonderful character development. I am very surprised that this book it not on the shelves at book stores. It has to be ordered from the internet if you want to get a hold of one. I was able to check it out from the library but it is the only copy the city library has out of the 20 someodd branches. Definitely recommend this book.
